Boletos de Viaje | Travel tickets

  Esta pieza surge de mi archivo de boletos de los viajes en camión que realicé a Pachuca para visitar a mi familia durante todo el tiempo que estuve fuera de casa (durante mi carrera en La Esmeralda), los cuales intervine con transferencia de fotografias de los lugares que visité cada año como turista. Mi intención fue sugerir que cada vez me volvía más ajena a mi hogar.

Los boletos son el objeto y la prueba que tenemos del traslado de nuestro cuerpo de un lugar a otro. En este caso el camino siempre fue el mismo, de la Ciudad de México a Pachuca, Hidalgo; pero en la superficie de los boletos imprimí imágenes (en blanco-y-negro, haciendo alusión a la memoría, al recuerdo, al esbozo o al proyecto) de otros lugares.

Considero relevante esta pieza por el hecho de que al igual que otras piezas, me veo interesada por coleccionar, generar un archivo y alterarlo o modificarlo.


          This piece emerges from my collection of bus tickets from the trips I made to Pachuca to visit my family during the entire time I was away from home (during my studies at La Esmeralda). I intervened these tickets by transferring photographs of the places I visited each year as a tourist. My intention was to suggest that I became more alienated from my home with each passing year.

Tickets are the object and proof we have of our body's movement from one place to another. In this case, the route was always the same, from Mexico City to Pachuca, Hidalgo. However, I printed images (in black and white, alluding to memory, recollection, sketches, or projects) of other places on the surface of the tickets.

I consider this piece relevant because, like other works, I am interested in collecting, creating an archive, and altering or modifying it.
