La serie fotográfica La Casa-Molde (2016-2017) es parte del proyecto Madriguera de Cemento (2015-2017). Las casas del fraccionamiento de interés social donde crecí las retraté con el afán de recalcar su forma repetitiva y modular. Sin embargo, al realizar esta exploración fotográfica noté que, a pesar del ambiente repetitivo y modular, hay elementos que nos muestran la singularidad del espacio retratado: la tendencia de las familias para distinguir el espacio como un lugar propio, o si la casa está habitada o no, o si nunca fue habitada.
Esta serie se realizó con película en formato 35mm. La razón por la que realicé el proyecto con fotografía análoga en blanco y negro, fue porque me interesaba resaltar el material y el color del concreto, y en la película análoga el grano que es inherente a la formación de la imagen remite a la textura granular del cemento.
Este proyecto fue mi primer acercamiento a la fotografía análoga. A partir de aquí comencé a relevar y a ampliar mis negativos en mi laboratorio casero.

The photographic series The Molded-House (2016-2017)is part of the larger project Cement Burrow (2015-2017). I captured images of the houses in the social housing development where I grew up, aiming to emphasize their repetitive and modular forms. However, during this photographic exploration, I noticed that despite the repetitive and modular environment, there were elements that revealed the uniqueness of each photographed space: the tendency of families to personalize the space as their own, whether the house was inhabited or not, or if it had never been inhabited.
This series was shot on 35mm film. I chose to use analog black and white photography for this project because I wanted to highlight the materiality and color of the concrete. The inherent grain in analog film photography evokes the granular texture of cement.
"La Casa-Molde" served as my initial foray into analog photography. From this point, I began developing and enlarging my negatives in my home darkroom.
